Welcome Christian Truong Our Director of Engineering

Welcome to our first post for our new Behind the Seas (BTS) Blog Series! We will give you snippets of what is going on behind the scenes seas of our plant based mission to impact food systems for the better.

We’re excited to announce that Christian Truong is joining Impact Food as Director of Engineering! He will be helping us to scale our plant-based seafood products and contribute to our mission by . He has 10+ years of experience in food engineering and commercializing both innovative plant-based meat and traditional CPG food products. 

Why Impact Food?

"I'm super excited to join the team here in San Francisco. Learning about each co-founder's passion for the company's mission was a determining factor in agreeing to become their Director of Engineering. We all can make a difference, and I can't wait to share with the world what Impact Food is doing to make that a reality." 

If you could choose your Superpower?

I would choose the ability to swim. It sounds so easy and common but I wish I could swim and it’s certainly not for lack of trying. If I’ve learned anything, it’s to never give up and realize not everything is easy for everyone.

What can’t you live without?

My bicycles. I currently have 5, and that’s a significant improvement over the former 7 I had a few years ago. Only if I had infinite space.
